Bachata with La Alemana!

We’re bringing La Alemana @laalemana_official to Asheville in December!

Alemana is a world-renowned bachata dance icon who has taught and performed all over the globe. She has inspired a generation of bachata dancers and we can’t wait to share her talent and expertise with our dance community!!

  • December 15th – Join us on Friday, Dec. 15 for an epic Latin Dance Social featuring a 1-hour Beginner Bachata Lesson and performance by Alemana. DJ Mike Arana from Atlanta (@dj_mikearana_atl) is also coming to DJ for that social. It’s going to be an absolute blast!

  • December 16th – On Saturday, Dec. 16, Alemana will be teaching two high-value workshops. More workshop details coming soon but secure your spot now with limited-time early bird pricing!

Mark your calendars for a special all-day celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Uphora!

  1. Zumba Fiesta featuring ZJ Adriana from Charlotte and regional talented Zumba instructors @zjadrianaq

     

  2. Choreo Zumba Jam Session (Note: Book your session via Zumba website) by ZJ Von from High Point and ZJ Denise from FL – a perfect opportunity for new and seasoned Zumba instructors to develop their choreo skills. @_vonstanley

     

  3. Reggaeton Choreo class with Angie Borbon from Greenville. @angiedancess

     

  4. Latin Dance Social Collab with Casa Soul featuring renowned DJ Carmona from Charlotte, DJ Cokie from Durham, professional dancer Ethan Wagner from NYC, free latin dance lesson with Rafael Torres from Charlotte, and three performances: bachata by Arturo & Mei, reggaeton by Angie, and group rueda performance by Rueda de Casino of Asheville.  @dj_carmona__  @djcokie_bachata @casa_soul_asheville

We love the beauty and vibrancy of the Hispanic Heritage. Its culture, music, and broad variety of dance forms has played a big role at Uphora and continues to influence our dance community. We’ve changed our name to Uphora Dance Fitness!

Uphora stands for the word euphoria which means “state of intense happiness and self-confidence”. We believe both dance and fitness have the power to create immense joy and wellbeing for all who partake in them. Our goal is to cultivate fun, joy-filled experiences in all our classes and throughout our community. Join us in this movement to spread joy into the new year!

We’re in the process of building our new website so for now, please use this one for class bookings and updates. We’ll launch the new website in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
