Meet our Instructors
We have a diverse set of instructors at Uphora. Many of our team members have years of experience and are either professionally trained, certified or licensed in their respective styles ranging from Zumba, Hip Hop, Popping, Choreography, Salsa, Bachata, Belly dancing, Line dancing, Twerking, Flamenco, Fitness, and much more!

Deborah
Deborah is a licensed Zumba instructor who has been dancing through every stage of life. As a child she ran the gamut of jazz, tap and ballet. In high school and college, cheerleading and kickline took center stage in feeding her desire to keep dancing. Deborah has been enjoying Zumba ever since and became licensed to teach in 2020.

Anastasia
Anastasia has been dancing for over half of her life. She specializes in Hip Hop and other similar styles including R&B, Pop, and Afrobeat. Anastasia has experience taking classes and workshops with well known dancers like Jojo Gomez. For the past year she has been a performer with the local dance crew, House of Hazard Dance Academy.

Arturo
With nimble feet and a passion for movement, Arturo Chavez began dancing his way through life from a young age. Growing up in Mexico City, he dazzled at quinceañeras and got crowds grooving to Latin rhythms like merengue, cumbia, and bachata. His natural talent and joy for dance led him to become a devoted teacher, helping others to grow in their confidence and ability.

Ashlyn
A native to Asheville, Ashlyn Tori began her dance career 12 years ago as a latin ballroom dancer, traveling the country training, competing, & teaching. For over 5 years she has trained with the top instructors in the industry. She shares her knowledge and love for dancing and healing in heels with other women in hopes that it will help them to feel amazing, confident, and powerful in their skin.

Heather
Heather has been studying belly dance for 12 years. Over the years Heather has studied American Cabaret, Egyptian, and Turkish belly dance styles. Heather is so excited to share this inclusive and empowering dance form with beginners, as strong foundations and fundamentals are so important to this complex and challenging dance style!
